  1. After a match is complete, team leaders must email the results to left4dead2@e-clubmalaysia.com with the title “RESULTS: TEAM A VS TEAM B (TEAM A SCORE : TEAM B SCORE)” (without the quotes, A is your team and B is the other team) and with the screenshots attached and labelled accordingly (eg, map01, map02, map03, etc).

ILLEGAL ACTIONS IN VERSUS

GENERAL
  • No skipping portions of the map or events/crescendos (i.e., no jumping down floors on Dead Centre 1, no hopping up to the off button on Parish2).
  • Blocking the path of the survivors with a car or a tree or any other movable object which prevents them from advancing is illegal.
  • Being in a position that is not reachable by regular/special zombies, or infected, as a survivor is illegal.
  • As a survivor, remaining in a position that causes an event to pause, glitch, or otherwise act outside of normal parameters is not allowed.
  • Clipping:  Clipping is when a Player is either boosted through a solid layer, or when a Player manipulates him/herself so that they can see through, move, or attack through any solid entity that they typically should not be able to such as a box or wall.
  • Tank Clipping: It is against the rules for a tank to attack through walls.
  • Hunter Clipping: It is against the rules for a hunter to jump through a crack in a manner that clips through a solid layer.

SPECIFIC

Below you can find an (incomplete) list with some examples, what counts as bugs/exploits:
  • Dark Carnival 1: It is forbidden to skip the bridge area by jumping on the crashed truck as it breaks Tank spawns.
  • Dark Carnival 3: It is forbidden to pass half of the rollercoaster event by jumping on the nearby fence.
  • Dead Center 1: It is forbidden to skip any part of the map by using a shortcut by jumping downstairs via window or balcony.
  • Hard Rain 2 & 3: It is forbidden to spit on top, inside or underneath the elevator as long as it is moving and the doors are closed.
  • Hard Rain 3: It is forbidden to walk on the roof on the right side at the beginning of the map.
  • Swamp Fever 2: It is forbidden to pass the airplane without triggering the crescendo.
  • Swamp Fever 3: It is forbidden to pass the crescendo event by jumping on the rocks nearby.
  • Swamp Fever 4: It is forbidden to sit at the top of the stairs as survivor to prevent tank spawns during finale.
  • Preventing the opposing team (be it survivor or infected) to climb a ladder by staying on top of it.
  • Finale Maps: To loose control of the 2nd tank to the AI during the finale event.
  • As survivors, to rush through most of the map during a panic event to avoid normal infected spawning. Survivors have to wait near the panic event trigger location. (e.g. The Aeroplane on Swamp Fever 2)
  • Forbidden actions during tank fight:
No matter if the tank spawns while the survivors are inside the safe room or if the tank spawns after the survivors have left the safe room, it is forbidden to camp inside the safe room. Once the match started the survivor team must leave the safe room under any circumstance. However, it is allowed that the survivors resupply ammunition, which means they can individually (one by one) enter the safe room, swiftly grab some ammo and leave the safe room immediately again. Of course it is NOT forbidden for a survivor to stand in the doorway and block infected spawn.

DISPUTE RIGHTS, REQUIREMENTS & GUIDELINES
  • Dispute Process:  A Team has the right to Dispute any Player(s) or Team that they feel is in violation of these Game Play Rules. A Team may Dispute up to one opposing Player per Match. All Disputes must be filed within 1 hour following the completion of the Match through a presiding Official (if present or through email left4dead2@e-clubmalaysia.com ). A Match must be reported regardless of whether a Dispute is being filed. If a Dispute is filed too late, the Dispute may be disregarded.
  • Evidence Requests: If a Dispute has been filed, Officials may contact Players/Team(s) involved in the Dispute to request additional evidence (beyond the replays that must be uploaded). If so the Players/Teams will then have 24 hours to begin submitting all requested evidence to the Official in charge of the Dispute.
  • Discussion of Disputes:  Disputes should only be handled in private between the Officials and those Teams/Players directly involved. Raising a Dispute as a public matter for the purpose of appealing, criticizing, or complaining about the verdict may result in Player or Team Disqualification and/or Match Forfeit, depending on severity and malicious intent as determined by the Official.

This document and all rules are subject to change at the tournament official’s discretion.
